is the Conference?
Saturday & Sunday, April 5-6, 2008
Registration is at 10:00 a.m. Saturday. The opening session begins at 3:00 p.m., so please arrive professionally dressed and ready for the conference. You will not have time to check into your room and dress before the conference. The conference ends approximately at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.

How
much does the conference Cost?
The conference is free of charge to scholars. Community college students and community college contacts must pay a fee of $25 to complete his/her registration. Professionals must pay a fee of $175 to complete his/her registration. However, all students must register for the conference prior to the registration deadline. Space is limited.
When
is the registration deadline?
The deadline for conference registration is February 29th, 2008.
Are
accommodations provided?
Students who indicate that they need hotel accommodations at the time of registration will be provided with a room, free of charge, and will be paired with another student. Conference attendees will be staying at the Rosen Plaza Hotel. Students are not allowed to bring additional guests. If a student does not wish to be paired with another student or wants to bring guests, he/she must pay for and make his/her own hotel arrangements.
Can
I be paired up with a friend?
Students may request a roommate at time of registration.
However, there
is no guarantee that you will be matched with the
requested student.
Is
transportation provided?
Students should check with the primary contact at
their respective institution to make travel arrangements.
Some institutions may be arranging van, bus, or air
travel.
Will
I be reimbursed for travel?
No, FFMT will not reimburse students for travel to
the conference.
Will
meals be provided?
FFMT will provide meals on Saturday and breakfast
on Sunday. Students must eat at scheduled meal times.
FFMT will not pay for room service.
Is
the conference mandatory?
YES! Failure to attend the conference will result in termination of scholarship. Graduating seniors who have been hired for a “qualified” teaching position may be exempt from attending. Please call Cheryl Williams at (352) 392-9196 ext. 21 to inquire about an exemption.
What
if I cannot attend the conference?
Scholars must submit a letter stating the reason to Cheryl Williams, Program Coordinator, so that arrangements can be made prior to the conference. Excuses other than medical reasons with documentation will not be accepted after the conference.

What
is the dress code/attire?
Since the conference is professional, business attire
is recommended. Be sure to arrive dressed and ready
for the conference.
Do
I have to stay at the host hotel?
No, students who live in the Orlando area are encouraged to stay at their homes. Students who will be bringing along family or guests must make their own hotel arrangements. However, all students must register for the conference. Please notify our office if you will not need accommodations of you did not indicate it on the registration form.
Do
I need to bring anything to the conference?
Professional attire, an updated resume and a positive
attitude, as students will have an opportunity to
meet with school district recruiters and interviews
can be arranged. Students may also want to bring enough
money for snacks or a credit card for incidental
expenses at the Rosen Plaza Hotel.
